MOPSU™ CURRENT CONFIGURATION - MAJOR COMPONENTS
The Hull, comprising a main deck, a machinery deck and a bottom deck of stiffened plate and web frame construction. The hull provides deck space and is designed to support drilling packages, process modules, utilities, living quarters with helideck and crude export facilities.
Four (4) tubular legs, and are located at the corners and slightly outboard of the hull, providing maximum clear deck space. The legs withstand environmental loading and transfer the hull and topsides loading as well into the foundation mat.
The mat, also made of stiffened plate and web frame construction, with side shells and internal bulkheads providing structural rigidity and compartmentalization, similar to the hull. The mat provides gravity based foundation for the platform, and includes integral crude storage and transfer facilities.
Detachable wellhead deck, to house the wellheads / x-mas trees and drilling manifolds.
Caisson and / or conductors, to contain drilling casings and to support the wellhead deck when detached from the MOPSU upon demobilization.
Caisson subsea clamp or detachable conductor subsea support frame. The caisson subsea clamp is fitted with quick-release mechanism to detach the caisson to allow it to self-penetrate during platform installation and during demobilization of the MOPSU. The conductor subsea support frame can be detached from the mat to allow the drilling template to be stand-alone upon MOPSU demobilization.
Living quarters with helideck, removable, to be installed if MOPSU operates without an adjacent FSO.
