The Company’s primary focus is to create value for its shareholders by delivering cost effective products and solutions to the offshore industry, utilising the MOPSU™ technology.
Gryphon Energy (M) Sdn Bhd is the sole and exclusive licensee of the MOPSU™ intellectual property rights in Malaysia. The MOPSU™ concept, design and configuration is the exclusive proprietary right of Kingtime International Limited and is protected by International patents and other appropriate intellectual property rights.
To date, the Company has completed Front End Engineering and Design and obtained ABS approval for design for its Mark 1 version and is concentrating its efforts in marketing the MOPSU™ in several countries worldwide.
The business model is based on a build-own-operate scheme, whereby the Company takes the responsibility for the construction, ownership and operation of the MOPSU™ units. The Company may consider strategic partnerships if deemed beneficial. Operations may be carried out by in-house personnel or in cooperation with recognised operations & maintenance contractors. The MOPSU™ unit will typically be leased to clients under multi-year contracts, under which the Company undertakes to carry out the operating activities on a specific offshore field. The Company’s revenue will be derived from mobilisation/demobilisation fee and an agreed day rate, consisting of both an operating element and a capital element, which the client (i.e. the oil company) pays for the bareboat or time charter of the unit. In the event that the client prefers to own a MOPSU™, the Company will evaluate this on a case-by-case basis, taking into consideration relevant factors such as risk, remuneration, long-term effects and benefits.
